The blackwatch hockey hoody (what I’m calling it), was by far my favorite piece to come out of this entire collection. The tailored clothing was, admittedly, on the extremely short side. That being said I think this is going to translate better to me than it would to a 6 foot 4 Tom Bull, so I’m interested to see the results in person.
I also really appreciated the leather bomber, the quilted jacket, and all of the footwear in general (Timbs, Clogs, etc).
Chicks sans pants is always a win, obviously.

What I Wore
We might’ve not had a lot of snow in NYC this winter but there was no escaping the snowfall in Vermont last weekend. To our surprise it was still very snowy up north and I have to say it was nice to see the mountains and trees covered in white instead of the slushy New York streets that come with city snow. On our last day of our trip to Vermont, Dustin, Melanie, and I had some fun playing in the snow and of course we had the camera to document all our fun. Instead of a coat, I opted for warm layers to ward off the cold. There’s no one way to stay warm in the winter and I’m determined to try out every possibility.

Club Monaco Spring/Summer 2 2013 Preview
So it might be too early to starting talking spring/summer but I think the new Club Monaco collection is something to get excited about. Last week I got to see firsthand all the exciting new pieces and well…the collection definitely pops! Bright colors and tons of prints, I’m calling dibs on EVERYTHING. I was most impressed by the chambray shorts in a variety of fun patterns and lots and lots of linen. But like “chic” looking linen not like baggy cheesy honeymoon linen. WANTED IT! Where were these pieces during September NYFW when I was sweating my ass off trying to look cute in a cotton blazer? Favorite piece? I’d have to say it was the bandana print button downs. Definitely excited for the collection to hit stores.

Happy Holla Days! Hope everyone had a great time yesterday with family and friends. We certainly did! Now that we’ve made it past Christmas it’s time to start planning for the new year. And for us, 2013 planning starts with our New Year’s Eve outfits. If you haven’t got your outfit figured out yet, here’s a fresh idea for you. This mint green colorblock tie is a great accessory to build your look around. It’s an unexpected color that will make you stand out from the crowd. Pair it with black and gray for a variation on the black/neon trend but without going too bold. What better way to start the new year than looking fresh!
